I was born and raised in Aylmer, Ontario. During public school and high school, I’ve always had a passion for animals and have always wanted to work with them. During high school, I took co-op at a veterinary practice in my hometown and that’s when it really showed me that I wanted to become an RVT!

I then went to St Clair College for the Veterinary Technician Program in 2019 and graduated in April of 2021. And ever since then, my love for this career has kept growing. I started Elgin Animal Hospital during my last month of college when I was required to do Placement. I fell in love with the practice and the team and I soon returned in May, a month after graduating. I took my VTNE (Registry) exam in August and became a Registered Veterinary Technician!

Growing up I’ve always been around animals. My very first pet was a cat named Daisy, she could be temperamental but I loved her to pieces. Once I got to college, during my last semester, I adopted my very first Dog, she is a 2-year-old Beagle. She is the best companion and so loving to me and my family and I’m glad I got to take her home with me

Dear Clients,

We are happy to announce that we are transitioning to an open-door policy! We can now welcome maximum 2 pet parents per appointment into the clinic with their pets. Our top priority here at Elgin Animal Hospital is the ongoing health and safety of our clients, their pets, and our dedicated team members that serve you and the community.

Here is what you can expect at your next visit:

APPOINTMENTS

  • Masks are still required when interacting with our team, and we encourage social distancing whenever possible.
  • Up to 2 pet parents are welcome to be in the clinic with their pet during the appointment.
  • FOOD AND MEDICATION PICK-UP

  • No need to call when you arrive, just come in!
  • We also ask that you please call in our pet's medication & food refills 3-5 days in advance as we are experiencing some shipment delays once again
  • If you are not feeling well in any way, or if you have interacted with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 we ask that you stay isolated and do not visit us at the clinic. If your pet needs lifesaving medical attention, please have a family member or friend bring in your pet.

    NO-SHOW POLICY IN EFFECT

    To ensure all of our patients and clients get the best care possible, please let us know if you cannot make the appointment. All no-shows will be recorded and clients with multiple no-shows may be asked for a deposit before making future appointments. We understand that unforeseen circumstances and emergencies arise. A simple phone call before your scheduled appointment is all that is required - 24 hours notice preferred. This will allow us to offer that spot to a pet in need.

    We are OPEN with the following hours:

    - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
    - Wednesday: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
    - Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
